“I pray for peace of mind, for mankind, forever.
I pray for peace of mind and for humankind.
These are difficult days.
I pray for strength, guidance, vision.
I pray for protection from harm for my loved ones.
To keep them safe from the grip of evil.
I pray for understanding, patience and virtue.
Please help us get through the darkest days, to find the light switch in the darkness.
To stand up straight in the face of fear.
Make me a bright light to shine on everyone I meet.
With each breath I take, I am grateful to every moment I have lived on this earth.” ~Karen Elaine
I wrote this on November 12, 2001 after visiting New York City and stood before what once was the World Trade Center building. This week, Japan has suffered great loss and this prayer is for their people.
