I celebrated 53 years of being alive the other day without much fanfare as in past years. Instead of having a big party with tons of people, I went for a long bicycle ride on a trail near my home and splashed around in the cool water of Clear Creek which is abundant with fish and crawdads.
I sat under a tree to dry off and heard warm wind rustle the leaves and water rush through the smooth river rocks. Paradise can be found almost anywhere I go and my attitude depends on everything.
A gentle old man told me with a knowing smile on his face that a life is nothing but a flicker of an eyelash, and I have to agree with him.
