Being Alive

Being alive is an amazing gift.
I spent another Friday night on a skinny little cot next to my mother in the hospital.  She needed more blood to keep her mind clear. The days between transfusions are getting shorter and soon they won’t help her at all.
When I slept, she told me she checked on me because I was so still. She will always be my Mommy no matter what happens.
