Circle of Life

I held my mother’s soft, slender warm hand tonight while she lay in her hospital bed. We looked into each other’s eyes and she told me she was scared. I said "Me too".
I folded three paper cranes that linked together wing to wing and put them on her bedside table. One crane represents courage, one represents bravery and the other one represents love. Our love.
I am so happy to be a part of this process, to be aware of the circle of life.
