My Daughter

My 24 year old daughter visited all this week and between the two of us we got so much done to make this small house more enjoyable and functional. She is so much like me in so many ways. We work together like synchronised swimmers in a silent, peacful pool and even when it’s crowded we never bump into each other. It was chaotic with her little one in the midst of what we were trying to accomplish, but he was also grounding, because in our frenzy to make things perfect, we stopped to smile and play with a little boy who is full of surprises and lets us know when we are doing too much.
They left yesterday evening, and the house was quiet and peaceful once again. I wish she lived closer. I’ll work on that one.
